Things to Come
1 As He was going out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, behold what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings !" 2 And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings ? Not one stone will be left upon another which will not be torn down." 3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately , 4 "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled ?" 5 And Jesus began to say to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. 6 "Many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He!' and will mislead many. 7 "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened ; those things must take place ; but that is not yet the end. 8 "For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom ; there will be earthquakes in various places ; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. 9 "But be on your guard ; for they will deliver you to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them. 10 "The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11 "When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour ; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit. 12 "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child ; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. 13 "You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.
The Building of the Temple
1 Now it came about in the four hundred and eightieth year after the sons of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD. 2 As for the house which King Solomon built for the LORD, its length was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits and its height thirty cubits. 3 The porch in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits in length, corresponding to the width of the house, and its depth along the front of the house was ten cubits. 4 Also for the house he made windows with artistic frames. 5 Against the wall of the house he built stories encompassing the walls of the house around both the nave and the inner sanctuary ; thus he made side chambers all around. 6 The lowest story was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide ; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around in order that the beams would not be inserted in the walls of the house. 7 The house, while it was being built, was built of stone prepared at the quarry, and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any iron tool heard in the house while it was being built. 8 The doorway for the lowest side chamber was on the right side of the house ; and they would go up by winding stairs to the middle story, and from the middle to the third. 9 So he built the house and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar. 10 He also built the stories against the whole house, each five cubits high ; and they were fastened to the house with timbers of cedar. 11 Now the word of the LORD came to Solomon saying, 12 "Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in My statutes and execute My ordinances and keep all My commandments by walking in them, then I will carry out My word with you which I spoke to David your father. 13 "I will dwell among the sons of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel." 14 So Solomon built the house and finished it. 15 Then he built the walls of the house on the inside with boards of cedar ; from the floor of the house to the ceiling he overlaid the walls on the inside with wood, and he overlaid the floor of the house with boards of cypress. 16 He built twenty cubits on the rear part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling ; he built them for it on the inside as an inner sanctuary, even as the most holy place. 17 The house, that is, the nave in front of the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long. 18 There was cedar on the house within, carved in the shape of gourds and open flowers ; all was cedar, there was no stone seen. 19 Then he prepared an inner sanctuary within the house in order to place there the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 20 The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in height, and he overlaid it with pure gold. He also overlaid the altar with cedar. 21 So Solomon overlaid the inside of the house with pure gold. And he drew chains of gold across the front of the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold. 22 He overlaid the whole house with gold, until all the house was finished. Also the whole altar which was by the inner sanctuary he overlaid with gold. 23 Also in the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high. 24 Five cubits was the one wing of the cherub and five cubits the other wing of the cherub ; from the end of one wing to the end of the other wing were ten cubits. 25 The other cherub was ten cubits ; both the cherubim were of the same measure and the same form. 26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was the other cherub. 27 He placed the cherubim in the midst of the inner house, and the wings of the cherubim were spread out, so that the wing of the one was touching the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub was touching the other wall. So their wings were touching each other in the center of the house. 28 He also overlaid the cherubim with gold. 29 Then he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved engravings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, inner and outer sanctuaries. 30 He overlaid the floor of the house with gold, inner and outer sanctuaries. 31 For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood, the lintel and five-sided doorposts. 32 So he made two doors of olive wood, and he carved on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold ; and he spread the gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees. 33 So also he made for the entrance of the nave four-sided doorposts of olive wood 34 and two doors of cypress wood ; the two leaves of the one door turned on pivots, and the two leaves of the other door turned on pivots. 35 He carved on it cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers ; and he overlaid them with gold evenly applied on the engraved work. 36 He built the inner court with three rows of cut stone and a row of cedar beams. 37 In the fourth year the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid, in the month of Ziv. 38 In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it.
Israel Reaps the Whirlwind
1 Put the trumpet to your lips ! Like an eagle the enemy comes against the house of the LORD, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law. 2 They cry out to Me, "My God, we of Israel know You!" 3 Israel has rejected the good ; The enemy will pursue him. 4 They have set up kings, but not by Me; They have appointed princes, but I did not know it. With their silver and gold they have made idols for themselves, That they might be cut off. 5 He has rejected your calf, O Samaria, saying, "My anger burns against them!" How long will they be incapable of innocence ? 6 For from Israel is even this ! A craftsman made it, so it is not God ; Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces. 7 For they sow the wind And they reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads ; It yields no grain. Should it yield, strangers would swallow it up. 8 Israel is swallowed up; They are now among the nations Like a vessel in which no one delights. 9 For they have gone up to Assyria, Like a wild donkey all alone ; Ephraim has hired lovers. 10 Even though they hire allies among the nations, Now I will gather them up; And they will begin to diminish Because of the burden of the king of princes. 11 Since Ephraim has multiplied altars for sin, They have become altars of sinning for him. 12 Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, They are regarded as a strange thing. 13 As for My sacrificial gifts, They sacrifice the flesh and eat it, But the LORD has taken no delight in them. Now He will remember their iniquity, And punish them for their sins ; They will return to Egypt. 14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces ; And Judah has multiplied fortified cities, But I will send a fire on its cities that it may consume its palatial dwellings.

Daily Bible Reading from BibleStudyTools.com
July 4, 2012 - King James Version
1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! 2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down . 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately , 4 Tell us, when shall these things be ? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled ? 5 And Jesus answering them began to say , Take heed lest any man deceive you:  6 For many shall come in my name, saying , I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled : for such things must needs be ; but the end shall not be yet.  8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.  9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten : and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.  10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.  11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up , take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak , neither do ye premeditate : but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak , but the Holy Ghost.  12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death . 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake : but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved . 1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.  2 And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.  3 And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.  4 And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.  5 And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:  6 The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.  7 And the house, when it was in building , was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building . 8 The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.  9 So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.  10 And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.  11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying , 12 Concerning this house which thou art in building , if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:  13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.  14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it. 15 And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.  16 And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place. 17 And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long. 18 And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen . 19 And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.  20 And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.  21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.  22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.  23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.  24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.  25 And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.  26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.  27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.  28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.  29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.  30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.  31 And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall. 32 The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.  33 So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall. 34 And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.  35 And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work . 36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.  37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid , in the month Zif:  38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it. 1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.  2 Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee. 3 Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. 4 They have set up kings , but not by me: they have made princes , and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off . 5 Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?  6 For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.  7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield , the strangers shall swallow it up . 8 Israel is swallowed up : now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.  9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.  10 Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.  11 Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin , altars shall be unto him to sin . 12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing . 13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.  14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker , and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

Being Watched?

by Dale Cresap

Do you perform better while you are being observed? Most people have a keen sense of whether anyone is watching, and who is paying attention to them. Do you have this same awareness in a spiritual sense? For I promised to be with you always. Do you find this to be a great comfort, or does it make you uneasy to know that I see everything you do? If you want to live and walk in the spirit, take an eternal perspective of everything you do. Run the race that is set before you knowing that you are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. Run in such a way that they will cheer you on.

We play a big part in the end of the end time events

by Ben Lunis

6-28-12 4pm Blessed Holy Lord Jesus, we continue to experience record settings events in various areas. The most obvious at this moment in time is the early season record setting temperatures across most of the country. Extreme winds and flooding are happening. The high temperatures and the drought conditions are producing catastrophic fires, especially the one near Colorado Springs, Colorado.    How does all of this fit into the scenario of the end of the end time events?

Ben, this is all part of the end of the end time events. I so want My people to return to Me. Most of them continue to do their own thing and I am allowing events to continue to unfold with the desire for My people to come back to Me, turn from doing things their way, to humble themselves before Me, and seek My face. Continue to let My people know that they play a huge part in all that is unfolding. When they seek Me, turn from doing their own thing, and repent, I will heal their land. Remember, first things first!
